21yr old self-taught guitarist looking to just jam on random shit. Not into high stress let's play live and be amazing situations. Just kick back (Possibly burn one) and just have fun my name is xx. Ps- I don't have the best equipment, but it works fine. You gotta be in Monty as I have had a fucked up start to life after high school and do not own a car or license. You're twenty one. High school ended three years ago. I mean, yeah, the current economy is shit but you can't find a goddamned thousand dollar late nineties beater? I also haven't found decent work. Neither have I, so I'm not going to fault you there.

My stuff:
A pawn shop ibanez w/ my Duncan distortion in the bridge

A fender fm212r amp (blackfront)

And a boss metal zone distortion pedal

looking for people who want to jam out and be free. Yeah, man... Free, brother, free. I'm feeling it. also cool with 420. Wow. That's a surprise. Who would've thought that ecologically conscious folks with a penchant for free love would be into smoking ganja?

* Does one throw an orgy or host an orgy or simply have an orgy? What is the proper verb to go with orgy?

Drummer looking for a band (Uptown, MPLS)

Date: 2012-02-06, 7:31PM CST
Reply to: xxxxx-xxxxxxxxxx@comm.craigslist.org

Experienced 30 year old drummer Hello. with pro gear and reliable transportation wants to join or start an original band. Sorry. Well, hello. Im pretty open stylistically (will play folk, hip hop, pop, electronic, country, rock- just not 95.7 style testostorock or metal). No offense but I don't really want to play with people that have hardcore commitments like families, etc. OK, it's like this, Sonny Jim: I've explained this similar thing happening in regards to internet dating. As you get older, the less likely you'll be to find a prospective mate with absolutely zero baggage - divorce, kids, etc... More age means more time means more things happen to you. So if you want to a dating pool with a lower probability for baggage, check out the folks in their early twenties. You? You're thirty. So, likely you'll want somebody whose musical frame of reference is within the same era as yours; the kid who was in day care when Kurt Loder came on TV to tell the world that Kurt Cobain was dead is probably not the best pick. So, with that in mind, you're going to be looking for people your own age.
And guess what.
People your, hell, our age? They've, by this point, have probably made a lot of heavy decisions that resulted in a few little life changes - maybe spouses, maybe kids, maybe mortgages, because, as I've noted before, people, yes, even musicians, have a lot of other shit going on in their lives that isn't musically related.
As a result, they've probably, through experience, learned how do a nice little balancing act between jobs and bills and family time and leisure time. So, don't worry. A family man can still be in your band. It won't hurt anybody.
By the way, I've got zero baggage.
Please be: good, willing to practice at least once a weeknight (I work till 6:30 pm M-F), Once a weeknight? You want to practice five nights per week? [looks around] I'm out. and be cool- I want to take it pretty seriously but not fun-suckingly so.
If you are interested, please call me on my phone, I am looking to get the ball rolling asap. If you want to hear some of my old bands let me know, but I don't feel like they are a very current representation of my drumming.
